SUMMARY:ERGON IASTM TECHNIQUE APPLICATIONS FOR THE TREATMENT OF LOWER LIMB
INJURIES / PATHOLOGIES ONLINE MASTERCLASS – via zoom meeting
DESCRIPTION:
\nERGON IASTM TECHNIQUE
APPLICATIONS FOR THE TREATMENT OF LOWER LIMB INJURIES / PATHOLOGIES ONLINE
MASTERCLASS – via zoom meeting\; Live stream 11th May 2020.\nLive strea
m time\; 2pm - 5pm\; South Africa time\; please check your own local times
\nMasterclass Presenters\nDr. Konstantinos Fousekis\, Ass. Professor in Sp
orts Physical Therapy- University of Patras-Greece\; Ergon Technique co-fo
under and Educational Director.\n\nPavlos Angellopoulos\, Pt\, MSc\, Phd (
cand). Clinical Physiotherapist\; Ergon Technique Master-Trainer.\n\nPasse
d Pax Feedback\n\nIn the past I had a short course in IASTM technique\, go
t couple of tools and since then I was practicing this technique in the cl
inic but not often as I should. It was easy for me to understand yesterday
s course\, the lecturers from Ergon were great\, my knowledge about fascia
is deeper and I have learned many new strokes. Thank you for organizing t
hese courses! I am interested in attending the next IASTM course! -\n\n[/s
poiler]\n\n
\n\nERGON® Technique is an ev
idence-based therapeutic approach combining static and dynamic manipulatio
ns of the body’s soft tissue with special clinical equipment for the tre
atment of neuromusculoskeletal pathologies. The technique derives its name
from the ancient Greek word ‘ergon’\, which means ‘the product of a
man’s work\, be it manual or mental\, scientific or artistic’. The te
chnique was created through applied research and longterm evaluation at th
e Human Evaluation and Rehabilitation Laboratory of the Physiotherapy Depa
rtment of the University of Patras. \n\nERGON® Technique is based on the
myofascial meridians theory as first described by Thomas Myers. The ERGON®
Soft Tissue Techniques are applied on specific points of tissue restricti
ons and fascial adhesions along the fascial meridians\; when these are rel
eased\, functionality improves within a few treatment sessions. The Ergon
Technique relies on unique clinical equipment called ERGON Tools. Ergon To
ols applied with special ERGON Technique can detect and release –loosen
scar tissues\, adhesions and fascial stiffness\, b) increase local perfusi
on\, and c) decrease muscle tone and myofascial pain.\n\nThe ERGON ® Tech
nique techniques are applied in specific points of soft tissue adhesions w
hich\, upon release\, improve the functionality of the area of the body\,
in the space of merely a few sessions. The therapeutic effect of ERGON® T
echnique is sustained for many days afterwards\, and when combined with ot
her treatment techniques (stretching and neuromuscular control exercises t
echniques) can even become permanent.\n\nThis particular technique allows
ERGON®-certified Therapists to a) assess with precision myofascial areas
of high sensitivity\, and b) restore biomechanical function of joints by d
issolving adhesions\, regaining normal myofascial rolling and reducing mus
cle spasm and pain.\n\nThe ERGON ® Technique effectiveness has been evalu
ated and is based on several recent research studies. These studies have d
emonstrated the effect of ERGON ® Technique on reducing the myofascial pa
in\, treating major musculoskeletal diseases and accelerating the\nrecover

IQUE APPLICATIONS FOR THE TREATMENT OF LOWER LIMB INJURIES-PATHOLOGIES\n\n
The primary aim of the online masterclass is the theoretical and practical
education and training of participants in the innovative techniques of ER
GON® IASTM Technique for the treatment of the most common lower limb inju
ries and pathologies.\n\nThe largest part of the online masterclass concer
ns the guided presentation of ERGON® techniques for the treatment of the
of the most significant lower limb injuries and pathologies.\n\nLearning O
bjectives of BASIC ERGON® Course\n\nAt the end of the online training\, t
rainees will have gained detailed education on the subject of Fasciae (Tho
mas Mayer Myofascial Meridians theory\, soft tissue pathologies\, fasciae\
, and their healing\, being fully capable to:\n\n• Assess possible fasci
al pathologies of the lower extremities\n• Evaluate pathological manifes
tations of the lower extremities\n• Release cross-links between connecti
ve tissues\n• Restore range of motion of joints in a minimum number of t
reatment sessions\n• Treat effectively most common lower limb pathologie
s/injuries\n• Accelerate tissue through fibroblast activation\n• Combi
ne therapeutic techniques (therapeutic exercise)\n• Apply functional nec
k rehabilitation interventions\n\nThe duration of the ERGON Webinar is 3 h
ours.\n\nTimetable (South African times)\n2-2.30pm: Theoretical presentati
on of a) most common lower limb injuries pathologies (hamstrings strains\,
 patellar tendinopathy\, Achilles tendinopathy\, plantar fasciitis\, iliot
