 rse material']\nMORE INFO\nVestibular Rehabilitation (Dizzyness) Course\n\
 nUsing movement and exercise\, healthcare practitioners (such physios\, b
 ios\, chiros\, osteos\, audiologists and ENT specialists) can effectively
  treat common causes of dizziness. This intense two day course covers the 
 essentials of physiotherapy vestibular assessment and treatment. A strong 
 emphasis is placed on differential diagnosis\, clinical reasoning and trea
 tment selection. Delegates will be taught to identify signs and symptoms t
 hat indicate central/sinister pathology. The vestibular rehabilitation tec
 hniques included in the course have a strong evidence base.\n\nThe course 
 is suitable for health practitioners with no experience of dizzy patients 
 or those wishing to consolidate existing skills.\n\nAims - By the end of t
 he course delegates should be able to:\n\n• Understand basic vestibular 
 anatomy and physiology (semicircular canal orientation+function and the ve
 stibulo-ocular reflex in particular)\n• Have an overview of the main ves
 tibular pathologies\n• Take a relevant subjective history including vest
 ibular special questions\n• Carry out a clinical oculomotor examination\
 n• Clinically assess the VOR (dynamic visual acuity\, infrared video ana
 lysis and head thrust test)\n• Clinically evaluate different types of ny
 stagmus (central vs peripheral)\n• Carry out an appropriate outcome-base
 d assessment of balance\n• Do positional testing for BPPV\, interpret fi
 ndings and treat using the appropriate manoeuvre (Epley\, Simont and Horiz
 ontal canal)\n• Devise\, evaluate and progress a patient-specific exerci
