  the IASTM course.\n\nFOR All days 9am to 5pm\n\n\n\n\n\nSmart Tools Plus 
 (STP) education and tools are a form of instrument assisted soft tissue mo
 bilization (IASTM) therapy. The five stainless steel instruments were desi
 gned for the unique programming taught in our classes. The purpose of this
  Level 1 training is to introduce clinicians to STP programming and tools 
 and workshop each and every region of the body. Level 1 training includes 
 assessment\, treatment\, physiological effects/benefits and indication / c
 ontraindications to IASTM.\n\nLevel 1 Course Objectives\n\nThe primary obj
 ective of Level 1 is to develop an understanding of STP and how to apply i
 t into the full spectrum of musculoskeletal treatment approaches. By the e
 nd of the training\, students will be able to:\n\n‐ Demonstrate a workin
 g knowledge of the STP instruments\, STP treatments and potential effects 
 and benefits.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n‐ Develop skill and competence in the STP a
 pplication of IASTM to the major regions of the spine and extremities.\n\n
 Level 1 Prerequisites\n\nLevel 1 participants should have a well developed
  working knowledge of the human neuromusculoskeletal system and its major 
 structures. A list of suggested readings is disseminated to participants a
 t the time of their registration. Prior eyperience with manual therapy and
  manual soft tissue mobilization techniques are helpful.\n\nTeaching / Lea
 rning Methods &amp\; Materials\n\nVarious teaching methods will be utilize
 d consistent with the various levels of complexity of the learning objecti
 ves. These will include explanations\, demonstrations\, performance\, feed
 back\, teaching\, supervised open practice and case troubleshooting. Teach
 ing materials include the Level 1 PowerPoint/Keynote presentation\, Level
