A FRESH APPROACH TO RUNNING INJURIES – with Parys Edwards – via zoom meeting;

Parys is no stranger to running injuries, as a self-confessed exercise addict and retired professional triathlete she has encountered many injuries first-hand. With twenty years work experience in sport, and especially with triathletes and runners, she has witnessed the frustration and heartache that injuries cause and is passionate about getting patients back on the road and more importantly keeping them there injury-free.

With this in mind we present a fresh approach to running injuries. We cover the basics of running biomechanics – what we should do and what usually happens to result in over-use injuries. We take a look at video analysis of 6 case studies to present a different way to look at some of the most common running injuries: ITBS, Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles Tendonitis, High Hamstring Pain, Shin Splints and Lower Back Pain.

Parys shares her top tips for runners flexibility, form correction and functional strength work. You’ll finish with a head full of insights and a keenness to take a different look at your run injured patients.
