\n\nIntended learning outcomes (for the unit/module)\nAims &amp\; Rational
e:\nThis Spinal and Peripheral Manipulation online streaming course is des
igned to enhance attendees understanding and ability to demonstrate skills
in palpation\, biophysical examination and diagnosis for the use of grade
5 manipulative techniques. The course will enable and assist the delegate
to enhance their palpatory and manipulation skills clearly and accurately
. \n\nLearning Outcomes:\nAt the end of the course the student will be abl
e to demonstrate:\n1. The ability to select and modify a broader range of
grade 5 manipulation/HVT manipulation techniques\, according to the needs
of the patient\;\n2. A critical appreciation of grade 5 manipulation treat
ment protocols and their appropriate application\;\n3. A developed awarene
ss of the neurophysiological effects of grade5 manipulation along with ind
ications and contra-indications to each technique\;\n4. A developed level
of palpatory skill with an advanced knowledge of palpatory characteristics
of normal and abnormal tissues\;\n5. An ability to monitor the effect of
treatment intervention via palpation\;\n6. A critical appreciation of the
therapeutic value of touch and palpation in conjunction with other evaluat
ion methods\;\n7. An ability to record palpatory findings and to use them
effectively as a means of monitoring the effects of specific techniques.\n
