erapy 1 Course\nThe Fascial Therapy 1 course is designed to introduce the
beginner as well as the experienced practitioner to a broad spectrum of my
ofascial releasing methods that encompass all soft-tissue.\n\nFascia is th
e form that encases and surrounds all soft-tissue\, creating compartments\
, containers and scaffolding to anchor tissue. With this understanding\, b
asic applied methods can be adapted and applied to this form to create eff
icient rapid change.\n\nFascial Therapy introduces direct and indirect met
hods employing active and passive techniques that utilize sensory receptor
activation\, understanding the autonomic system response that results in
the application of these various techniques.\n\nEmphasis is placed upon as
sessment patterns through fundamental palpation of lines of myofascial ten
sion. These include cardinal lines\; anterior\, posterior and lateral\, as
well as four arm line (Myers) are palpated and then technique applied. Th
ese line have areas that are not usually palpated\, and it is these areas
(intermuscular septums for example) that often result in not achieving the
desired clinical outcomes for a practitioner.\n\nUnderstanding the import
ance of presence and intent as clinical ‘tools’.\n\nUnderstanding the
response and importance of the autonomic nervous system in relation to sys
temic discharges and soft-tissue release.\n\nInstructed is the use of ‘e
ase-bind’ osteopathic assessment protocol for clinical decision-making\,
palpation and technique.\n\nFocus is also placed on joint accessory motio
n and the important interface with myofascial.\n\nThus joint leverage comp
ression and tension techniques are introduced that allow for rapid change
to the surrounding capsular tissue.\n\nLigament technique options as well
as locations of application are instructed.\n\nIndirect application in the
form of the ‘Two Point’ is instructed and protocol to release transve
rse planes are practiced. Within this protocol anterior neck muscles\, sup
ra and infra-hyoid muscles will be palpated and treated.\n\nAnd integrated
into this system of bodywork is the use of modified Muscle Energy Techniq
ue MET\, used to treat ‘bind’ directional barriers\, enhance receptor
response and assess muscular inhibition.\n\nThe last module will be a clin
ical practice session\, where clients\, friends or family are invited so a
s to experience the instruction and new skills acquired by participants. T
his is also a time to instruct more complexity and showcase material for F
ascial Therapy 2.\n\nBy the completion of this course\, the practitioner w
ill have a new way of clinical thought\, have new application skills that
use much less force and effort to achieve desirable effects\, reducing pai
n sensitivity usually experience by more forceful applications.\n\nDay 1 D
irect Applications to Myofascia: Theory and Practice\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nDay 2 I
ndirect Applications for Soft-Tissue\n\nDay 3 Applications for the Thorax
 and Shoulder\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nDay 4 Shoulder Region Completion\, Horizontal/V
ertical Humeral Compression/Tension Levering and Clinic Module\n\n&nbsp\;\
