 e='More Info']\nThe Fascial Therapy 1 Course\nThe Fascial Therapy 1 course
is designed to introduce the beginner as well as the experienced practiti
oner to a broad spectrum of myofascial releasing methods that encompass al
l soft-tissue.\n\nFascia is the form that encases and surrounds all soft-t
issue\, creating compartments\, containers and scaffolding to anchor tissu
 e. With this understanding\, basic applied methods can be adapted and appl
ied to this form to create efficient rapid change.\n\nFascial Therapy intr
oduces direct and indirect methods employing active and passive techniques
that utilize sensory receptor activation\, understanding the autonomic sy
stem response that results in the application of these various techniques.
\n\nEmphasis is placed upon assessment patterns through fundamental palpat
ion of lines of myofascial tension. These include cardinal lines\; anterio
r\, posterior and lateral\, as well as four arm line (Myers) are palpated
and then technique applied. These line have areas that are not usually pal
pated\, and it is these areas (intermuscular septums for example) that oft
en result in not achieving the desired clinical outcomes for a practitione
r.\n\nUnderstanding the importance of presence and intent as clinical ‘t
ools’.\nUnderstanding the response and importance of the autonomic nervo
us system in relation to systemic discharges and soft-tissue release.\nIns
tructed is the use of ‘ease-bind’ osteopathic assessment protocol for
clinical decision-making\, palpation and technique.\n\nFocus is also place
d on joint accessory motion and the important interface with myofascial.\n
Thus joint leverage compression and tension techniques are introduced that
allow for rapid change to the surrounding capsular tissue.\n\nLigament te
chnique options as well as locations of application are instructed.\nIndir
ect application in the form of the ‘Two Point’ is instructed and proto
col to release transverse planes are practiced. Within this protocol anter
ior neck muscles\, supra and infra-hyoid muscles will be palpated and trea
ted.\n\nAnd integrated into this system of bodywork is the use of modified
Muscle Energy Technique MET\, used to treat ‘bind’ directional barrie
rs\, enhance receptor response and assess muscular inhibition.\n\nThe last
module will be a clinical practice session\, where clients\, friends or f
amily are invited so as to experience the instruction and new skills acqui
red by participants. This is also a time to instruct more complexity and s
howcase material for Fascial Therapy 2.\n\nBy the completion of this cours
e\, the practitioner will have a new way of clinical thought\, have new ap
plication skills that use much less force and effort to achieve desirable
effects\, reducing pain sensitivity usually experience by more forceful ap
plications.\n\nDay 1 Direct Applications to Myofascia: Theory and Practice
