 n[spoiler title='More Info']\nThe Fascial Therapy 1 Course\nThe Fascial Th
erapy 1 course is designed to introduce the beginner as well as the experi
enced practitioner to a broad spectrum of myofascial releasing methods tha
t encompass all soft-tissue.\n\nFascia is the form that encases and surrou
nds all soft-tissue\, creating compartments\, containers and scaffolding t
o anchor tissue. With this understanding\, basic applied methods can be ad
apted and applied to this form to create efficient rapid change.\n\nFascia
l Therapy introduces direct and indirect methods employing active and pass
ive techniques that utilize sensory receptor activation\, understanding th
e autonomic system response that results in the application of these vario
us techniques.\n\nEmphasis is placed upon assessment patterns through fund
amental palpation of lines of myofascial tension. These include cardinal l
ines\; anterior\, posterior and lateral\, as well as four arm line (Myers)
are palpated and then technique applied. These line have areas that are n
ot usually palpated\, and it is these areas (intermuscular septums for exa
mple) that often result in not achieving the desired clinical outcomes for
a practitioner.\n\nUnderstanding the importance of presence and intent as
clinical ‘tools’.\nUnderstanding the response and importance of the a
utonomic nervous system in relation to systemic discharges and soft-tissue
release.\nInstructed is the use of ‘ease-bind’ osteopathic assessment
protocol for clinical decision-making\, palpation and technique.\n\nFocus
is also placed on joint accessory motion and the important interface with
myofascial.\nThus joint leverage compression and tension techniques are i
ntroduced that allow for rapid change to the surrounding capsular tissue.\
n\nLigament technique options as well as locations of application are inst
ructed.\nIndirect application in the form of the ‘Two Point’ is instru
cted and protocol to release transverse planes are practiced. Within this
protocol anterior neck muscles\, supra and infra-hyoid muscles will be pal
pated and treated.\n\nAnd integrated into this system of bodywork is the u
se of modified Muscle Energy Technique MET\, used to treat ‘bind’ dire
ctional barriers\, enhance receptor response and assess muscular inhibitio
n.\n\nThe last module will be a clinical practice session\, where clients\
, friends or family are invited so as to experience the instruction and ne
w skills acquired by participants. This is also a time to instruct more co
mplexity and showcase material for Fascial Therapy 2.\n\nBy the completion
of this course\, the practitioner will have a new way of clinical thought
\, have new application skills that use much less force and effort to achi
eve desirable effects\, reducing pain sensitivity usually experience by mo
re forceful applications.\n\nDay 1 Direct Applications to Myofascia: Theor
