 S: What is all this hype about syndesmosis injuries? - with Helene Simpson
 \; via zoom meeting\nCourse description:\nSyndemosis injuries - Why are th
 ey such a big deal? Can we manage these injuries the same as lateral ankle
  sprains? I will discuss the differential diagnosis and pathology plus the
  impact of the injury on the rehabilitation and why it should be modified.
  Syndesmosis injuries are known to take longer to recover and for athletes
  to return to sport. The impact of the mechanism of injury on the soft tis
 sue\, as well as the potential for cartilage injury and instability of the
  ankle are factors that require a careful approach/ modified rehabilitatio
 n strategies. I will also touch on when to refer for surgery.\n[/spoiler]\
