 t course in the Mulligan Concept of mobilization\, one of three courses of
 fered under the Mulligan Concept Teacher’s Association. The remaining co
 urses include: Upper Quadrant and Advance Course. The UQ\, LQ and FU cours
 es are required for eligibility to sit for the Certified Mulligan Practiti
 oner (CMP) exam – see www.bmulligan.com for upcoming exams. This manual 
 therapy approach\, developed by New Zealand physiotherapist\, Brian R. Mul
 ligan\, F.N.Z.S.P.\, Dip. M.T.\, has clinical application to extremity and
  spinal joint dysfunction\, principally utilizing the concept of Mobilizat
 ion with Movement (MWM). This is an innovative approach in the field of ph
 ysical therapy\, growing in popularity because of its success\, broad appl
 ication\, and relative ease with which it applied and evaluated for effica
 cy. The skills taught in this course have immediate clinical application.\
 nThis is the Lower Quadrant course in the Mulligan Concept of mobilization

 enhanced handling skills specific to techniques presented in the 5th editi
 on of the textbook.\n• The ability to integrate the Mulligan Concept int
 o the evaluative process\n• At the end of each day\, course participants
  may be required to demonstrate at least one technique in front of the cla

 ll be a 15 minute morning and afternoon break each day\, in addition to a 
 1/2 hour lunch break. The host is responsible for providing morning/ afte
 rnoon tea/coffee and snacks. Meals are not provided.\n\n\nParticipant resp
 onsibilities:\n Dress appropriately (sportsbra for women upper quadrant
 \, shorts for lower quadrant)\n Review of the 6th edition of Brian Mull
 igan’s book: Manual Therapy\, NAGs\, SNAGs\, MWM’s etc is HIGHLY recom
 mended prior to the course.\n Participants must take personal responsib
 ility for communicating to their lab partner and/or instructor any physica
 l problem that might contraindicate having the techniques performed on the
 m\n\n\nInstructor Biography:\nGeoff graduated with a B.Sc. in Physiotherap
 y in 1988 and a post-graduate Honours degree in Sport Science in 1989 at t
 he University of Cape Town\, South Africa.\nIn 1991 he moved to Connectic
 ut where he continued to practice orthopedic physiotherapy until 2007. He
  graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2002 with an MS in Orthopedic Phy
 sical Therapy\, and is also certified by the American Physical Therapy As
 sociation as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist.\nGeoff is an Internationa
 lly Accredited Instructor in the Mulligan Concept\, and has lectured exten
 sively in the USA\, frequently assisting Brian Mulligan\, FNZSP\, Dip. MT
 \, since 1996.\nGeoff returned from the USA in 2007 and practices in Cape
  Town\, and remains an active member of the Mulligan Concept Executive Bo
 ard (visit: WWW.BMULLIGAN.COM). \nHe is also a Certified Strength and Cond
 itioning Specialist with the USA based National Strength and Conditioning
