 ourse\n\nUsing movement and exercise\, healthcare practitioners (such phy
 sios\, bios\, chiros\, osteos\, audiologists and ENT specialists) can eff
 ectively treat common causes of dizziness. This intense two day course cov
 ers the essentials of physiotherapy vestibular assessment and treatment. A
  strong emphasis is placed on differential diagnosis\, clinical reasoning 
 and treatment selection. Delegates will be taught to identify signs and sy
 mptoms that indicate central/sinister pathology. The vestibular rehabilita
 tion techniques included in the course have a strong evidence base.\n\nThe
  course is suitable for health practitioners with no experience of dizzy p
 atients or those wishing to consolidate existing skills.\n\nAims - By the 
 end of the course delegates should be able to:\n\n• Understand basic ves
 tibular anatomy and physiology (semicircular canal orientation+function an
 d the vestibulo-ocular reflex in particular)\n• Have an overview of the 
 main vestibular pathologies\n• Take a relevant subjective history includ
 ing vestibular special questions\n• Carry out a clinical oculomotor exam
 ination\n• Clinically assess the VOR (dynamic visual acuity\, infrared v
 ideo analysis and head thrust test)\n• Clinically evaluate different typ
 es of nystagmus (central vs peripheral)\n• Carry out an appropriate outc
 ome-based assessment of balance\n• Do positional testing for BPPV\, inte
 rpret findings and treat using the appropriate manoeuvre (Epley\, Simont a
 nd Horizontal canal)\n• Devise\, evaluate and progress a patient-specifi
 c exercise-based rehabilitation programme\n\n[/spoiler]\n\n[spoiler title=
