Why Dry Needling?

If you have done a Dry Needling course (either level 1 or level 1&2 with club physio or another service provider) and you are a physio, osteo, chiro, sports and soft tissue therapist insurance or professional body requires you to review, upskill, renew or re-certify then this course is for you.

You must be a healthcare practitioner or soft tissue therapist who practices dry needling and DN is in your scope of practice, and you want or need to review your needling skills, techniques, directions, safety, anatomy and needle choices.

Most importantly your insurance or professional bodies cover now stipulates that you refresh, review or re-certify your DN techniques on a regular basis to ensure your insurance cover remains in place.

The DN review course starts off with a short review of the dry needling principles and practice / safety / physiology / pain management / anatomy and no-go-areas and then we review needling of the main muscles from previous DN courses while practically assessing your technique.

The DN review course will review all the main muscles and areas of the body including arms, legs, pelvis, lumbar and cervical spine and upper quarter incl rhomboids and levator scap, subscapularis, supinator, the calf, anterior shin etc.

Why do the DN review course? You might be one of the many folks who complete a dry needling course and then don’t go on to fully incorporate DN into your clinical practice or you just don’t ever develop full confidence in your needling skills and technique. Or you fall pregnant and stop treating patients for a period of time and you now need to re-skill your DN techniques and confidence; or you have moved countries and you want to review / re-do a DN course to upskill your techniques.

A Club Physio Dry Needling Course registration includes:

  • All practice needles supplied for the course;
  • An illustrated electronic course manual (sent our weeks ahead of the course to help you best prepare);
  • Tea, coffee and snacks on each day;
  • Certificate of attendance in printed or digital form (with CPD points depending on your areas approval / accreditation);
  • Pathway to completing the Dry Needling Level 2 course and certifying as a dry needling practitioner;
  • One free listing of your practice on our website.

Please note:

Dry Needling courses are for healthcare therapists / professionals (clinical physiotherapists (PT’s), chiropractors (DC’s), osteopaths (DO’s), podiatrists, soft tissue and manual therapists, kinesiologists, doctors, nurses, medical specialists and acupuncturists) for whom dry needling is within your scope of practice and you are legally permitted to needle in your registered country / state. No minimum dry needling or previous acupuncture experience required but presumed anatomy, advanced palpation skills and clinical expertise is expected due to the advanced nature and in-depth structure of our DN courses. Professional indemnity insurance as per your professional body is also a pre-requisite.
Some sports / rehab / massage therapists can apply subject to scope of practice with your professional organization, theoretical and practical experience and having professional indemnity insurance.
If you are not sure whether DN falls within your scope of practice, ask your professional organization or you can email us here – info@club-physio.net.
