Description
This 2-hour workshop will focus on the rehabilitation strategies for patients who have undergone ankle and foot surgery after trauma (fractures, tendon ruptures) or elective surgery to repair a midfoot collapse, hallux valgus, dislocating Peroneii tendons other interesting conditions.
Passed Pax Feedback – I really enjoyed Helene’s course. A wealth of information! I came away with a lot of practical tips and up to date protocols. Her rehabilitation ideas are going to be very useful. Also great to have the recordings and notes to be able to refer back to. Caty
Description
This 3-hour workshop is specifically aimed to managing and treating the difficult ankle sprain. The difficult ankle sprain is simply put as the ankle sprain that just won’t settle with ankle pain hanging around for much longer than expected and not responding to the usual treatment strategies! I will mention how and when you know you are dealing with a “problem” ankle and discuss what further ankle management strategies are required – for example when and what to refer for further investigations, self-management, modified rehabilitation, expected time scales etc etc.
This is to assist you in trouble shooting your patient and we will brainstorm and discuss some real cases as well! Past Pax Feedback – Thank you for organising a great course – a fantastic idea to run the courses online, the course content was great and Helene very very informative. Shannon
Description
We will discuss the early rehabilitation for conditions such as:
-Plantar heel pain;
-Tibialis posterior dysfunction;
-Plantar fasciopathy;
-Sesamoiditis and Morton’s neuroma.
For each of the conditions above, we will explore strategies for an accurate differential diagnosis, planning a comprehensive rehabilitation regime, focusing on rehabilitation, but not limited to. I will also discuss the holistic approach required to assist these patients to full function and return to sport, i.e. shoe wear, orthotics, medication and other adjuncts to rehab management.
Past Pax Feedback – I thoroughly enjoyed this course. I appreciated Helene’s evidence based approach and how she incorporated that into her practice. I also appreciated the ample amount of examples of exercises to give patients in each phase of rehab – Daniélle
