MANAGING DIFFICULT ANKLE AND FOOT COMPLAINTS COURSE – with Helene Simpson; via zoom meeting

    Course description:

This 3-hour workshop is aimed at how to approach the difficult, complex scenarios.

The simple sprain that just won’t settle! I will discuss how and when you know you are dealing with a “problem”. And then we will discuss on the further management – refer and for what investigation, self-manage continue with modified rehabilitation. The post-surgery case who develop CRPS. The neglected Lis Franc case – what now? Flat foot teenager…. Etc.

This is to assist you in trouble shooting your patient’s problem. The idea is to brainstorm some real cases!

    Dear Participant,

Once you have booked, it becomes your chance to pick my brain. You are invited to send me a case study – a patient with a challenging injury.

I require a brief email describing the patient, the mechanism of injury, the management so far (or not)…. And if possible, an x-ray, MRI report. Most importantly, I need to know what the patient’s main complaints of physical limitations are – pain, instability, lack of range etc.
PLEASE EMAIL YOUR CASE STUDY TO ME BEFORE 5 PM ON WEDNESDAY THE 24TH OF FEBRUARY.
I will include some of these cases in our lecture on Saturday.
NB make sure to have the patient’s permission to do so.

Please email to me on helene@helenesimpson.co.za
