Introduction to Pilates Matwork with Renee Watson
This 6-hour course will provide you with a basic understanding of the Pilates Principles, how to teach the core unit to others and an experience of the foundation level mat repertoire.
Over the 3 modules, we will cover the 6 Principles, review the core unit and look at fascia and the various lines. We will then bring this theory into practice within a movement class each day.
Following this Introduction to Pilates Matwork course, you will be able to:
* describe the Pilates Method;
* teach aspects of the core unit (breathing, multifidus/TA co-contraction, pelvic floor) to clients;
* describe the experience of a Pilates mat class;
* progress to the online Basic Pilates Mat Course.
