Starting from the anatomy of the fascia, moving through evidence based articles, understanding of a variety of “missed “diagnoses related to myofascial restrictions and examples of treatment options and techniques. The participant should look forward to an energetic, interactive presentation with simplistic explanations of complex concepts and case studies with pop questions.

- To establish the differentiation between fascial v/s myofascial pain
- To learn the pathology and differential diagnosis of myofascial pain
- Evidence based Myofascial chains
- To Identify upper extremity myofascial chains
- To be knowledgeable about Diagnoses : case studies and research articles
- To be knowledgeable about Evaluation and treatment techniques.
Agenda ;
30 min : anatomy and pathology of the fascia and myofascia.
30 min: Upper extremity myofascial chain highlighting superficial and deep arm line
60 min: Diagnoses related to Myofascial dysfunction, differential diagnoses due to systemic origins.
60 min : Evaluation and management of myofascial disorders, treatment strategies with video demonstrations.
About Rina Pandya:
Rina’s physical therapy career spans over 20 years, through UK, the USA and the Middle East. She has worked in nationalized healthcare, American health care and self pay services in acute care, in-patient rehab, skilled nursing facility, home healthcare and outpatient clinic. In addition to being a clinician she has developed specialty programs based on evidence based practice in her role as a project manager. She has also managed Physical Therapy department in capacity of Head of Department in premier private hospital in Oman.
Rina graduated from Manipal University, India in 2000 as well as University of Michigan, in 2018 with Doctor of Physical Therapy. She has also been an educator with Summit professional for Vestibular Therapy conducting live seminars. Rina is a member of APTA, HCPC-UK and OAP-Oman.
