Dr Perrin’s  research into  Post viral fatigue syndrome AKA CFS /ME began in 1989.  In July 2005 he  received a doctorate from the university of Salford, UK for his thesis on the involvement of cerebrospinal fluid and lymphatic drainage in CFS/ME.

Since 2007, he has continued post-doc research as Honorary Senior lecturer at the University of Central Lancashire, UK, and Honorary Clinical Research Fellow in The Faculty of Biology, Medicine & Health at The University of Manchester. One of the leading medical faculties in the UK.

He has been a member of the scientific committee for the World Congress on Neurobiology and Psychopharmacology and is research director of a national ME research charity.

In 2015 he was the proud winner of the inaugural Research and Practice Award from the Institute of Osteopathy in the UK

In a study between 2015-16 he was chief investigator of joint UCLan & NHS research project: Examining the accuracy of a physical diagnostic technique for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, REC reference number 12/NW/0877. The results were published in the BMJ open in  2017.

In 2015 he joined the international faculty of the German School of Osteopathy.  He has lectured internationally and in the UK to patient groups and medical professionals on the diagnosis and treatment of CFS/ME and Fibromyalgia/FMS having run workshops throughout Europe, the USA , South Africa, Russia and Canada.

He has published CFS/ME research papers in major medical journals and his first  book, The Perrin Technique: How to beat CFS/ME was published in 2007.

His new largely expanded book The Perrin Technique 2nd Edition: How to diagnose and Treat Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME and Fibromyalgia via the lymphatic drainage of the brain is on sale from March 11th. Available from all good book stockists.

This online seminar  is designed for  any practitioner interested in diagnosing and helping patients who have survived COVID-19 but suffering with symptoms of  Myalgic Encephalomyelitis.  Chronic Fatigue Syndrome ME/CFS  (LONG-COVID)

Dr Perrin will show how his model explains the pathological dysfunction of the neuro-lymphatic system in  the disorders that have mystified most of the medical world.

It is designed to practically help the clinician improve their understanding of these disorders.

Dr Perrin will show that this is not a new disease and how post viral fatigue syndrome better known as CFS/ME  and Fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS)affects millions of people all over the world and will inevitably be more present than ever in our clinical lives following the COVID-19 Pandemic. It also shows how many people with dementia and early Alzheimer’s are suffering more than most from this pandemic.

Different diagnostic and treatment techniques will be discussed.

At the end of this session, participants should be able to:

  1. Understand the pathophysiological mechanisms that lead to ME/CFS, FMS, Alzheimers and Long-COVID.
  2. Be able to identify aetiological and maintaining factors that may have predisposed the patient and increased their susceptibility to develop these disorders
