Narina Gilder is a part-time clinical facilitator and lecturer in the Department of Physiotherapy, University of the Western Cape. Previously part-time physiotherapist industrial private practice; lecturer UWC; Senior Physiotherapist, Lentegeur Hospital; Senior Lecturer, HOD, Department Physiotherapy, University of Cape Town; Principal Physiotherapist, GaRankuwa Hospital; Deputy Principal, Pretoria College of Physiotherapy; Senior Physiotherapist, London Borough of Hounslow; student teacher then teacher Pretoria College of Physiotherapy; senior physiotherapist Pretoria Orthopaedic Hospital; basic grade physiotherapist at Lethbridge Auxiliary Hospital and Montreal General Hospital, Canada; and physiotherapist Johannesburg General Hospital.

Professional activities: presently chairperson Ethics Portfolio Committee SASP (includes Peer Review Committee); member Executive Council and previously National Assembly SASP; member Executive Committee Western Cape Province SASP; National Executive Committee SASP; editor SA Journal of Physiotherapy; chairperson and previously member Executive Committee Western Province Branch SASP; chairperson and secretary Northern Transvaal branch SASP.

Previously Director, member of Council, chairperson and member Examination and Credentials Committee of College of Physiotherapists of SA (now dissolved).

Continuing Professional Education: OMT1 course, Bobath course in London, PNF course in California, Adult Hemiplegia course, “baby” course in Cape Town and variety of advanced and refresher courses in these and other courses related mainly to neurological rehabilitation over 45 years of professional activity.
